2024 Shows & Events

All events are held at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea, MN unless otherwise noted. Spectators are welcome at all events!

SSC Closed Shows

May 4th through August 10th

Closed shows are for Sunset Saddle Club members only. Shows begin with pleasure classes and move to timed events when pleasure showing is complete. Spectators are always welcome at no charge!

SEMSCA Open Shows

May 11 & 12, June 15, Sept 7 & 8

All riders are welcome to join us for Open Shows! Club membership is not required. Open shows feature both pleasure classes and gaming classes. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in open shows. Spectators are always welcome!

There are lots of fun events held at our arena including Big Bang Barrel races, the Allzin for Alzheimer's Barrel Race, fun shows, and several horse shows during the Freeborn County Fair.
